Firstly, a little bit about Powerzone Gym, we opened our doors in 2011, but recently we moved just a few doors down from where we originally were. We would like to consider ourselves as a growing community and, unlike other gyms, we always make sure that all our members do not feel awkward or out of place when they come to the gym. We always encourage new members to bring a friend along so that exercising does not become a chore. But if you cannot find a gym buddy, its okay! We at Powerzone Gym would be more than willing to be your gym buddy! All you have to do is sign up and show up, because you never know who you might meet. The person on the treadmill next to you could end up being someone more than a gym buddy.
The facilities that we provide are catered for bodybuilding and overall cardio workouts. We do not provide classes such as aerobics or yoga. And in case any of you were wondering, yes, women can keep fit without going for yoga classes. Yes, women can still do cardio to keep fit and/or to lose weight. And finally, no, you will not end up having a big and chunky body like bodybuilders, unless that is what you wish. The same goes for men. Also, we cannot promise that you will see immediate results, we run a gym, not miracles! But please do not feel discouraged if you do not see drastic changes within the first month, it all depends on your body. What we can promise is that if you keep exercising regularly, you will eventually see your results as well as feel healthier. And, please keep in mind that not all exercising programs/diets are for you, it all depends on:
1. What is your goal? (Is it to lose weight? Is it to increase your stamina?)
2. What is your health condition? (Do you have conditions such as asthma? Or have you had past injuries that should be considered?)
And lastly,
3. Have you been exercising regularly before this? Or is this your first time?
So always remember, always consult us about what to do and what exercise programs to use because what works for someone else may not work as well for you.
Our rates are as follows:
Walk in:
RM10 per day
Coupon system:
RM60 for 10 coupons
1 coupon per person per day
Membership:
RM100 joining fee per person(lifetime)
Monthly: RM80
There is no joining fee needed for walk in and coupon system. Upon joining, members will also be provided with exercise programs, for free, which members are expected to follow for a whole month. Programs will be changed monthly as well, just ask our reception when its time to change program. But if you already have an exercise program for yourself then you are free to use it. What we provide are just guidelines for new gym goers.
We get quite a few questions regarding our exercise programs, some of which are:
1. Why do I have to do the same program for a month?
This is because our programs are to help exercise every part of your body as well as to start you off on the right track.
2. I feel bored with my program, can I change it halfway?
We do not encourage this as your body may not be used to the sudden change in your program. The last thing we want are accidents and/or injuries!
3. When I went back home my body started aching the next day. Is this okay? Do I continue?
Body aching is a normal thing to experience especially when you just started exercising (be it for the first time or the first time in a long time), body aches may also occur when you change your monthly programs because it focuses on different parts of the body. So yes, it is okay and completely normal. Yes, by all means you should continue, no pain no gain, right? But if you feel that the pain is a little too much for you, then maybe you could do a little less on that day. We encourage you to come to the gym at least 3 times a week, so you could play around with your gym days and off days.
Lastly, we at Powerzone Gym, we do not tolerate people who have no respect for the equipment, people or cleanliness of the gym. So, if you think you could come over and create a mess of things, just remember that you would be in an area full of really fit people who could easily throw you out.
